You don’t need a whole month or more to get the enthralling experience of Sri Lanka. In fact, with a 20-day itinerary, you can visit nearly all of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites, and ancient temples, and have great outdoor adventure experiences such as cycling, kayaking, and so on.

When you arrive at Colombo Bandaranaike International Airport, our driver picks you up and takes you straight to your hotel in Negombo. Negombo is in close proximity to the airport; it is the ideal place to stop and relax before you start exploring the rest of Sri Lanka. After some rest, you will go to the Negombo beach area, which has a beach park, delicious food, and excellent drinks to enjoy. You will also have the opportunity to meet new people and actually experience the culture and hospitality of the residents.
After breakfast, you will go to Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage or Millennium Elephant Foundation, which provides tourists with a personal safari experience by following elephants around a 15-acre coconut estate as they forage, wander, and graze as they would in the wild. Tourists can take advantage of three services provided by the Millennium Elephant Foundation: an Elephant Walk Experience, a Long-Term Volunteer Opportunity, and a One-Day Volunteer Program. In the afternoon, you will be transferred to Kandy and checked into a hotel. In the evening, around 05:30, you will be escorted to the Kandy Lake Club Cultural Dance Show, a stimulating Sri Lankan Arts, Dance, and Cultural Heritage Show.
After breakfast, you will go on a city tour of Kandy, visiting places like the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, the Royal Botanical Gardens Peradeniya, and the Kandy Garrison Cemetery. You will then return to your hotel.
Following breakfast, you will be driven to Dambulla to see the Royal Cave Temple, which has been a sacred pilgrimage site for 22 centuries. There are paintings and statues depicting Gautama Buddha and his life. In the afternoon, you will visit Sigiriya Rock or Pidurangala Rock, where you will hike and climb to the top of the rocks. After that, you'll return to your hotel and check-in for the night.
After breakfast, proceed to Mihintale Rock Steps, a historical landmark in Sri Lanka. You will experience an ancient stairway by climbing 1,840 steps up the Mihintale rock. The day will conclude with a visit to one of the ancient capital cities, Anuradhapura. There, you'll check into your hotel and relax for the evening.
After breakfast, you will go on a city tour of Anuradhapura, stopping at eight sacred sites such as Ruwanwelisaya, Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi, Isurumuniya Temple, Jethawanaramaya Stupa, and others. The day will conclude with a visit to Trincomalee, a port city. There, you will relax on the beach, check into a hotel, and spend the night
After breakfast, you will take a tour of Trincomalee, stopping at Koneswaram Temple, which stands on the Swami Rock cliff and is a popular vantage point for watching blue whales. Later, you will visit the Trincomalee War Cemetery, which contains 303 graves of the British Empire and other soldiers who were killed or died during World War II. Following that, you will visit a hot spring site called Kinniya Hot spring, and the only stone fort built by a colony during the French and Indian War called Fort Frederick.
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Pasikuda, a coastal resort town with a horseshoe-shaped bay, clear waters, and endless sandy beaches. Then you'll be taken to Marble Beach and Kalkudah Beach, both of which are only a few kilometers from Pasikuda.
After breakfast, you will be driven to Nuwara Eliya and taken to Victoria Park to enjoy the beauty of small lakes and picnics. The park is also a great place for birdwatchers, with a wide variety of species to be found. Then you'll go to Gregory Lake to enjoy the cool climate and walk around the lake. You will also you will have a chance to have a boat ride and pony ride In Nuwara Eliya, you'll check into a hotel and relax for the night.
Begin the day early to visit Horton Plains National Park with a breakfast pack. There you will see attractions such as dense forests, mountains, and wildlife. After that, you return to the hotel and relax until the afternoon. In the afternoon, you'll see more attractions, including the Pedro Tea Factory, Lover's Leap Falls, and Seetha Amman Kovil. At the conclusion of the tour, you will be driven back to your hotel in Nuwara Eliya.
After breakfast, you will board a train from Nuwara Eliya (Nanu Oya to Ella). The driver will pick you up at Ella Station at the end of the ride. In Ella town, you will have lunch at Cafe Chill, which serves delicious local and international cuisine. This restaurant is a true hangout, with good food, adequate WiFi, and extremely knowledgeable and friendly staff. In the afternoon, you will go on a tour of Ella, stopping at Nine Arches Bridge and Little Adam's Peak. At the end of the tour, you will check into a hotel in Ella.
After breakfast, you will travel to Yala, stopping along the way to see popular tourist attractions such as the Ravana Waterfall. In the afternoon, you will arrive in Yala, check into your hotel, and relax for the night.
A full-day jeep safari in Yala National Park will begin early in the morning in a 4x4 jeep car equipped with a safari tracker. This safari will begin around 05:30 and end around 06:00.
After breakfast, you will visit the Tissa Wewa reservoir and the Tissamaharama Raja Maha Vihara ancient temple. The tour will conclude with a drive to Tangalle, where you will taste a traditional type of yogurt made from water buffalo milk, known locally as buffalo milk curd. You will check into a hotel in Tangalle and spend some time at the beach before your journey the next day.
On this day, you will spend the entire day at the beach. While at Tangalle Beach, you can visit Parewella Natural Swimming Area, stroll along the beautiful beaches, dine at top-notch restaurants, and spend time at Tangalle Lighthouse learning about Tangalle's local history.
After breakfast, you will travel to Mirissa to see the amazing Coconut Tree Hill and Parrot Rock Bridge. You'll then spend the rest of the day relaxing on the beach and eating a delicious seafood dinner.
After breakfast, you'll embark on a 4-hour whale-watching tour in Mirissa. You will then proceed to Galle and visit interesting sites such as the Galle Fort, Galle Fort Lighthouse, and Dutch Hospital Shopping Precinct. The tour will conclude with you being driven to Hikkaduwa and checking into a hotel. In the evening, you will spend some time by the beach.
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Bentota for the Madu Ganga River Safari. The Madu Ganga River Safari will allow you to explore the secretive passages through mangrove forests and learn about the destination's ecology. You can also participate in water sports such as kayaking and others. Following that, you'll go to the popular Bentota Turtle Hatchery to see and learn about rare turtle species like the Olive Ridley and Leatherback Turtle. You will then travel to Colombo and check into a hotel.
After breakfast, you will go on a city tour of Colombo, including stops at the Jami Ul-Alfar Mosque, the Gangaramaya (Vihara) Buddhist Temple, Galle Face Green, the Colombo National Museum, and One Galle Face Mall. After that, you will return to your hotel in Colombo, and that will be the end of the tour.
